Spring transfer decision time
In roughly 45 minutes, I'll be "flicking the switch" (which is really typing "-1" five times) to turn on decisions for spring transfer applicants. Good luck to all!

how many applied? how many were selected?
We had 275 applications for spring transfer and we offered admission to 38 of them.
I was just wondering when the status would be updated if we applied online. I'm very anxious to find out what the decision is for my Spring 08 application, but the status report still only says received..... Thanks!
Angela, as you can see in the entry, I allowed decisions to come up on Friday. It sounds to me like your application might not have been complete by deadline. Give our office a call and talk to the Dead of the Day.
Readers, it's always best to call about specific cases. When reading season picks up, I won't be able to respond personally to all comments.
Hi. General question not related to this post. I am an alumnus who lives out of state and my daughter is interested in attending UVA (yay!). Is any special consideration given to children of alumni in the admissions process? I had heard that children will be considered as in-state for admissions purposes only, but can't find that in writing. Is that true? Thanks.
"Legacy" applicants have a similar admit rate to in state students...they aren't the same, which is probably why you can't find anything in writing about that.
Give us a call if you have more questions specific to your family.
Wahoowa!
