Peabody is the building, Jack is the dog, and I'm Dean J (she/her, btw).

Three notes:
1. There's fifteen years of posts here, so the search box can help find an answer to common questions, but please consider the age of the posts when you find them. The college admission process changes over time!

2. The comment box doesn't show up when viewing the blog optimized for mobile. Click the "view full site" link at the bottom of the page and the site will reload with comment boxes.

3. Pick a name, real or otherwise, if posting a comment.

Welcome to the blog and thanks for reading!

About CavDog

CavDog (Baxter, born June 28, 2007) made his blog debut in a post about Trick-or-Treating on the Lawn on November 2, 2007. He soon became fixture on the blog. No one in our office imagined that he'd become so popular that people would ask to see him and take pictures with him, but he happily spent time with every visitor who came to see him. He loved everyone, but was especially happy when little siblings would come to play.

Baxter was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma, a form of cancer, in the summer of 2015. After surgery to remove his spleen, he wasn't returning to his usual, active life and it was suggested that a puppy would help. This is when CavPup (Jack) joined us. Baxter died on October 3, 2015.
